History
VEGA Grieshaber KG was founded in 1959 in Schiltach, Germany. The company pioneered the development of level measurement instruments for the chemical industry. In the 1980s, VEGA introduced the first practical radar level meter for industrial tanks, a technology that has since become the standard for non-contact level measurement. Today VEGA supplies customers in more than 80 countries.
