One of the most requested BARTEC product groups is the Ex e (increased safety) junction boxes in the STAHL series, used for electrical connections in gas explosion-hazardous areas. For process industry and offshore applications, BARTEC offers the BEx series Ex d (flameproof enclosure) housings designed to contain electrical equipment where ignition of an explosive mixture inside the enclosure does not propagate to the surrounding atmosphere. These are used for switches, relays, PLC modules and instrumentation.

History

BARTEC was founded in 1975 in Bad Mergentheim, Germany, with the aim of developing high-quality explosion-proof equipment for the oil and gas industry in the Middle East and Europe.
