Bartec
BARTEC is a global market leader in explosion protection technology and delivers certified components for use in hazardous areas. The company, founded in 1975 and headquartered in Bad Mergentheim, Germany, offers one of the broadest product portfolios for Ex applications in zone 1, zone 2, zone 21 and zone 22 classifications. At Verkopershulp.nl, more than 875 BARTEC products are available.
The BARTEC range encompasses explosion-proof control cabinets and enclosures, Ex junction boxes and cable connections, Ex push-button enclosures and signal lamps, Ex motor starters and frequency inverters, Ex hand tools and communication devices, and explosion-proof luminaires. All products are certified in accordance with ATEX directive 2014/34/EU and IECEx standards for international applications.
One of the most requested BARTEC product groups is the Ex e (increased safety) junction boxes in the STAHL series, used for electrical connections in gas explosion-hazardous areas. These boxes are available in fibreglass, aluminium and stainless steel and are suitable for both zone 1 and zone 2, with IP ratings up to IP 67.
For process industry and offshore applications, BARTEC offers the BEx series Ex d (flameproof enclosure) housings designed to contain electrical equipment where ignition of an explosive mixture inside the enclosure does not propagate to the surrounding atmosphere. These are used for switches, relays, PLC modules and instrumentation.
BARTEC also supplies explosion-proof hand tools, tablets and communication devices, including the BARTEC Agile X handheld computer and associated accessories such as shoulder straps, dual charging stations and 4G/GSM modules. These devices are ATEX-certified for zone 1 and zone 2 and are used for inspection, maintenance and data recording in hazardous environments. Explosion-proof push-buttons, emergency stop switches and selector switches complete the portfolio for switchgear in hazardous areas.
BARTEC cable glands and cable entries (Ex e certified) are available for cable diameters from 4 mm to 50 mm in metric, PG and NPT versions. Stainless steel and polyamide cable gland versions are available for corrosive and mechanically stressed environments. Earthing clamps and screen clamps are available as integrated components of the BARTEC junction box series.
At Verkopershulp.nl you will find the complete BARTEC range for direct delivery. Our technical specialists advise you on the correct Ex classification (zone 1/2 gas or zone 21/22 dust), the appropriate protection method (Ex d, Ex e, Ex t), the required material specification and the applicable certification requirements for your specific installation environment.
History
BARTEC was founded in 1975 in Bad Mergentheim, Germany, with the aim of developing high-quality explosion-proof equipment for the oil and gas industry in the Middle East and Europe. The company grew rapidly through its technical expertise in Ex technology and expanded its product line with junction boxes, enclosures and switchgear for all common ATEX zone classifications. In the 1980s and 1990s, BARTEC acquired several international patents on explosion-proof connection technology and established offices in the major industrial countries. Through strategic acquisitions, BARTEC strengthened its position as a fully certified Ex provider for gas and dust explosive environments. Today, BARTEC operates as an international corporation with offices in more than 60 countries and manufactures more than 30,000 certified Ex components.
