Alfa Laval
Alfa Laval is a Swedish international company and absolute world leader in heat transfer, liquid separation, and fluid transport technology. With over 135 years of experience and operations in more than 100 countries, Alfa Laval delivers plate heat exchangers, centrifugal separators, spiral heat exchangers, tubular heat exchangers, pumps, valves, and complete process units for the energy, food, pharmaceutical, chemical, and marine industries.
The Alfa Laval core range includes gasketed plate heat exchangers (PHE) in M3, M6, M10, and M15 series for HVAC and industrial cooling, semi-welded plate heat exchangers for higher pressures, fully welded (AlfaNova) plate heat exchangers for aggressive media, spiral heat exchangers for viscous liquids and pastes, and the famous CLIP-LINE centrifugal separators for milk, beer, oil, and pharmaceuticals.
Alfa Laval plate heat exchangers offer up to 5x more thermal efficiency per unit volume than traditional shell-and-tube heat exchangers, thanks to the corrugated plate geometry that induces turbulence at low Reynolds numbers. This results in compact, energy-efficient systems with lower CAPEX and OPEX. Gaskets are available in NBR, EPDM, Viton (FKM), and PTFE for compatibility with diverse media.
The Alfa Laval centrifugal separator technology – from AFPX food separators to MOPX oil separators and WHPX separators for marine applications – enables high-capacity separation of liquid-liquid and liquid-solid mixtures with minimal energy input.
At Verkopershulp.nl we offer over 2,724 genuine Alfa Laval parts, including gaskets, clip connectors, O-rings, plates, steam traps, and process connections. As an authorized distributor we guarantee fast delivery, technical support, and full warranty.
History
Alfa Laval was founded in 1883 by Gustaf de Laval and Oscar Lamm in Tumba, Sweden. De Laval's invention of the cream separator in 1879 laid the foundation for the company, initially known as AB Separator. In the early 20th century Alfa Laval expanded into heat transfer with the development of the first plate heat exchanger in the 1930s. In the second half of the 20th century Alfa Laval grew through acquisitions of specialized heat exchanger and separation companies worldwide. The company introduced the spiral heat exchanger, DuroPlate, and AlfaFusion technologies. In 2000 Alfa Laval was acquired by Industri Kapital and later re-listed on Nasdaq Stockholm in 2002. Today Alfa Laval has over 17,000 employees worldwide and annual revenues exceeding SEK 50 billion. The company is investing heavily in energy-efficient solutions for the energy transition, including heat pump systems, LNG vaporizers, green hydrogen processes, and carbon capture technology.
